Rei means wisdom. Ki means life energy.
Reiki is said to be all-knowing, all-powerful (life and life-giving), and everywhere; a life- force energy that is always available, for any need, for any person, at any time or place, and having no limits.
Only God is Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipotent (having all power), and Omnipresent (always present). Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:3-5).
The purpose of the book of John is that we might believe and therefore have life in his name. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name (John 20:31).
There cannot be two absolutes. There is one absolute, one truth, and that is God.
Reiki is said to have come from God, a higher being, a higher power, or whatever word one chooses. The Bible, however, neither mentions Reiki nor supports its philosophy.
Reiki will give personality changes, produce patience, love, acceptance (tolerance), a non-judgment attitude of others, and will increase our connection to god. It has no limits; unlimited potential. It will grow and increase in frequency and strength. It will produce for us more knowledge, more wisdom, and more superior human qualities.
We are warned, “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8).
Reiki asks us to choose. In fact, it will not force itself on someone who does not first choose it. Once one chooses Reiki, then and only then will Reiki “work.” It is important to note here that Spirit-filled believers are to some extent protected from Reiki, as I was. During my Reiki attunement in March 2017, only I had no wild experience while the others in the group reported having profound, unusual encounters.
God calls us to choose, to make up our minds, to believe Jesus; to believe His Word (the Bible): “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God (John 3:16-18).
Clearly, Satan is disguising himself through the use of Reiki: Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).
